Our strategy is to maximize shareholder value by accelerating the exploration and development of oil and gas. When leasing our fee mineral interests, we also negotiate working interest options to secure additional ownership in oil and gas production. To promote leasing activity, Forestar generates prospects through geologic evaluation and seismic exploration. We also enter into joint ventures and exploration agreements designed to lead to future drilling and production activity. On our leasehold mineral interests we participate in operating working interests and also drill wells directly as an operator when our analysis indicates a favorable risk return.
