1. When does Forestar license land?

Forestar licenses land all year long. Maps of tracts available for licensing will be posted on this website. Applications must be made on-line and sent to Forestar via the website. Our licensing period runs from July 1 to June 30th. License agreements initiated after the license year has begun will be prorated based on the length of time remaining in the license year.

2. Can the club limit hog hunting?

Feral hogs are not to be protected or propagated on Forestar property. There should be no hog limits enforced, and harvest of hogs should be strongly encouraged, as long as it is done in a safe manner and does not constitute trespassing on neighboring clubs or properties. Furthermore, the translocation and release of a wildlife species or domestic stock of any kind on Company land will not be allowed without written consent from Forestar.

3. Does the club have to allow others across our licensed property?

Recreational clubs must always cooperate regarding access agreements made by Forestar. Use these opportunities to learn who your neighbors are and find out if adjoining clubs can work together to improve recreational activities.

4. Is Forestar land open for recreation if it is not currently licensed?

No. Forestar licenses its land for recreational purposes. Tracts not licensed are not open for any reason.

5. Where can we plant food plots?

We encourage clubs to establish food plots to supplement the natural foods available for game and non-game animals on your license. Existing openings such as logging decks, utility right-of-ways are good locations for food plots. New food plots will need approval from Forestar.

6. If Forestar operations have damaged my gate, food plot, etc. will Forestar repair them?

Improvements meeting Company policy and standards damaged by Forestar contractors will be repaired or replaced by the contractor.

7. How can the tract be identified on the ground?

As a general rule, Forestar uses blue paint to identify property lines.

8. How should the club deal with someone we find trespassing on our licensed property?

Forestar expects it licensees to report trespass issues to their local law enforcement agency. Under no circumstances, should any club member confront an individual suspected of trespass, whether verbally or physically. It will be the responsibility of the law enforcement agency to investigate the instance and make a report to Forestar, if so deemed necessary.
